Le Club Français and El Club Español

Bonjour/Hola! My name is Helen Sayer and I am a Licensee for Le Club Français and El Club Español. I have one teacher, Marion Branson, and between the two of us we provide French and Spanish Clubs at Chandlers Ridge Academy.

We both have 10 years’ plus experience at teaching language clubs and our main aim is “fun while you learn”. We use a structured syllabus which is based around a wide variety of useful topics and the children learn through games, songs and activities. We introduce a flavour of the target country to our clubs through our own personal stories and our fun, interactive website that members can also access from home brings the country life whilst away from the club.

Children are like little sponges when it comes to learning at this age and our clubs are open to everyone. Members enrol termly and whilst it is possible to “dip in and out” of our clubs, the longer your commitment, the better progress your child will make.

I received this endorsement from a parent of a Y6 pupil who had been in French Club since Y1:
“just wanted to drop you a line to let you know how your French lessons at Chandlers Ridge have benefited Lewis going into his first year at senior school…this has given him so much more confidence that he has hit the ground running” – Mrs Singleton

We hold three concerts during the year to raise money for good causes, recently donating to Zoe’s Place, Cancer Research and the NSPCC.
