Mrs M Rasab is our Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENDCo) and parents may wish to make an appointment for advice if concerns arise.
If your child has Special Educational Needs (S.E.N), or if these have been identified before admission to school, these must be discussed with the Head Teacher on admission. This is so that we can provide for the needs of your child as quickly as possible.
When such needs are identified the SEN ‘Code of Practice’ is followed and may involve extra provision, monitoring and an Individual Education Plan (I.E.P.) for the child. Importantly our aim is to fully include children with Special Educational Needs into the life of our school and to ensure that they are not treated less favourably than other children. Our Accessibility Plan ensures that there is independent access to the school building for children with disabilities by means of wheelchair ramps, adapted toilets and suitable environments for the partially sighted and hearing impaired. Our School Policy for Special Educational Needs and the Accessibility Plan are available from the Head Teacher on request.
