Knitting Club is run once a week in Classroom 11 by two volunteers – Mrs Anderson and Mrs Jackson, for groups of children in Year 6. Our Knitting Club enables children in Year 6 to develop confidence as they use their hands to make and do. They see that they are capable of achieving things themselves and that trying something new is a rewarding challenge. They start to see that they are creative and imaginative, and this has a huge impact on their self-esteem.
There is also something very special about sitting knitting and being creative together and close friendships easily form. The conversations between the children are often hilarious and frequently heart-warming!
Knitting club is run on the following days and times:
Fridays 12:15 – 1:00 pm
How much does it cost?
Knitting club is free of charge.
This club is only available for children in Year 6. Please contact Miss Anderson if you wish to find out more about joining in.
