If your child is ill, or going to be absent from school, then please let us know. Absences from school are carefully recorded in the Registers and the reason for absence must be shown. If your child is absent please send a note to the class teacher or an e-mail, if preferred, or telephone the school office.
If your child is absent due to vomiting or diarrhoea, they should not return to school until they have been free of symptoms for 48 hours. Click on this link to find out more.
We have an answering machine for calls outside of office hours. In the event failure to report an absence the school office will contact parents and carers from 9.30am to ascertain the reason for absence.
Holidays in term time cannot be sanctioned by the school. Holidays are illegal in term-time and will be recorded as “unauthorised absences” in the Class Register. Parents could face Fixed Term Penalty Notices and a fine if holidays are taken in term time.
