Early Years Foundation Stage – Nursery & Reception
In Nursery children are collected from the Nursery door. Parents are welcome to collect the children up to 15 minutes before the end of the session. Nursery staff will hand the children over to the person collecting them. We set up a password for all children and this is used when it is not the usual person collecting them. Please if you could let us know if this is happening by speaking to or emailing one of the nursery team.
Nursery staff are always able to take messages on the door and if you would like a longer conversation we ask that you wait until all the children have been collected.
Reception children are collected from their classroom doors. As with Nursery, the children will be handed over to the person collecting them. A password will be set up for when children are being collected by someone else. Please let us know if this is happening.
Reception teachers are always available to have a talk with parents once the children have all been handed over.
Year 1 to 6
For the rest of the school, from 3.25pm parents may wish to wait for their children in the KS1 playground or near the designated exit path and the internal gates will be opened to allow access. Year 1 children will exit from their classroom doors and will be handed over by the Teacher or Teaching Assistant. Y2 to Y6 children will be brought on to the playground by their teacher and then children can go to the person collecting them. Please ensure you have updated your child’s collection procedure, a form can obtained from the office.
Please do not bring dogs, bicycles, skateboards, scooters or anything else that could be a hazard to the children (and other parents.)
If EYFS and KS1 children are going to Skittles (after school club) they will be met by a staff member and taken to the school hall. KS2 children make their own way to the school hall once school has finished.
